Elderberry is the only fruit besides grapes routinely made into a dry-style wine over the ages. This elderberry wine is made in a pinot noir style: fruity, low to moderate tannins, light oak, very drinkable, and good with most foods. A great idea for marinating wild game and red meats.

“This elderberry honey wine shows significant complexity and is more like grape wine than our other varieties. It has been referred to as “instant port” by numerous tasters. Our winemaker enjoys Elderberry Honeywine by itself or with a splash of blackberry grappa or brandy. We have found that our Elderberry Honeywine stays fruity for 1 -2 years, and matures well for 3-6 years.” Serve chilled. Certified Kosher OU.

This is one of our most unique wines. Elderberry has a taste that most people can’t describe. It’s a bit sweet, a bit dry, fruity, but with a taste like traditional wine. A multi-award winner, and one that must be tried.
