In English “sangria” translates into disregard of inhibitions, utter loss of inner monologue and, of course, waking up the next morning next to Brigitte, or was it Brandy? Anyway, that’s not the point. The point is, our take on traditional wine punch is the perfect balance between Seville oranges, gala apples, ripe cherries, and the sweetness of strawberries. So it’s OK to let yourself go, have a little fun, and hope that tattoo washes off.
Due to the popular demand for our sangria, we have started making larger batches, which means we needed to put it in bigger bottles than our other wines. It now comes in a 1.5L bottle, that’s double the wine for only 7 bucks more!

Succulent, sweet refreshing, delicious, and best of all, alcoholic. There’s really no better way to describe this amazing beverage sent to us from the gods with the traditional sweetness of Riesling blended with ripe freshness of Florida strawberries. Be forewarned, this bottle will disappear fast, and we’re not responsible for embarrassing dance-offs, illegitimate children, or public nudity that may result.

Strawberry jam, sweet herbs, and grassy nuances with hints of fresh citrus, while maraschino cherry and strawberry linger with a fresh finish.
“Maywine has been described as ‘springtime in a bottle.’ It has traditionally been used as a wine for festive occasions, including on May Day in Germany.
“The recipe for this wine originates from Mike’s mentor in white wine, a fifth-generation Hungarian winemaker. When Mike relocated to Washington State, he brought this cherished recipe with him, utilizing local Washington fruit to pay tribute to his mentor. After more than 40 years, Mike and Natalie continue to craft this delightful celebration wine.
While Latah Creek’s version is slightly sweeter than the traditional German Maiwine typically enjoyed during their spring celebration each year, it still features the classic strawberry juice and woodruff herbs. These herbs are added to the wine once fermentation is finished and steeped for 3-5 weeks, depending on the desired intensity.
Finally, the strawberry juice is mixed in before bottling, resulting in a delightful blend of strawberry and herb flavors.
