“Great blackberry wine with a kiss of honey. Try it chilled before or after dinner, with dark chocolate, cheesecake, or as a complement to a sunny beach. Our Summer favorite: put ice and strawberries in the blender, cover it with Blackberry Honeywine, blend, and serve. This berry wine should retain its fruity flavor for 6 months to a year, or longer if kept cool. We have enjoyed bottles of 3- and 4-year-old blackberry honey wine — it matures into wine that is less fruity and more port-like.” Certified Kosher (OU).

A menace to some, vibrant purple-black blackberries are plentiful and prolific in the Northwest. This late-summer fruit is sweet and tart, bursting with flavor, and a no-brainer for an Oregon liqueur. Clear Creek combines wild Evergreen and the premium, exclusively Oregon-grown Marion for a rich, earthy, ripe berry liqueur. A wonderful dessert cordial and excellent on chocolate ice cream.

Wonderful fruit wine sweet enough to bring out a full, fresh blackberry flavor. … And without the stickers (ouch!).

Excellent acidity counters the 8% residual sugar, making for a well balanced, slightly sweet wine made from juicy, estate-grown Tennessee blackberries. This Century Farm-made wine approaches dessert wine status with its relatively high-for-fruit-wine alcohol content (12.5%) and 8% residual sugar, but the alcohol level is lower than typical dessert wines, and great acidity tempers the sweetness. Plus, it presents in a full-sized 750ml wine bottle. Consider the Century Farm Blackberry Wine either a drinkable, semi-sweet dessert wine or a powerful, hearty fruit wine. Or both.
